My ad for online

After next week we should be able to start casting the film. I have written a short ad to place on the net to attract actors to be involved in the project. As we are pretty much discussing everything, does anyone have any ideas/comments/improvements????

We are looking for an actor to play the part of _______ in a brand new ground breaking short film project that will explore the use of internet related technology during production of a film.

This is a third year degree project, and is something that has scarcely been explored within the film industry. The film is created by an online community, who will collaborate to write the script and make important decisions throughout production.

One rule of the project, and what makes it unique, is that none of the community members ever actually meet the actors. To achieve this, the actors will use low tech equipment such as webcams, mobile phone video cameras, digital cameras or anything that they have to their disposal. Taking direction over the internet, the actors will then perform to the camera and upload the clip to the online community, where each member is invited to edit and remix the footage to make their own version of the film. The result? A true open source film project.

The style of the film is a psychological thriller about a young woman who meets a man online who turns out to be a psychopath. This is the general framework that I have set the online community, who will in turn write the script.

So, if you would like to be a part of this project, and have the relevant tools at your disposal (the minimum is a webcam, any others ie. mobile phone video, camcorder, digital camera etc. is a bonus), get in touch!
